Frederic C. Johannsen
Partner, Frederic C. Johannsen is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy. A Certified Public Accountant in Oregon and a member of both the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Johannsen became a partner in 1982 and has worked closely with clients in accounting and tax issues. Mr. Johannsen has had the privilege to hold many positions in the community during the past thirty years. Experience includes all areas of practice - attestation, tax and consulting.
Christopher V. Dye
Partner, Mr. Dye is a graduate of Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy. Mr. Dye is the partner in charge for each audit and has considerable experience with municipal and nonprofit audits. A Certified Public Accountant in Oregon and a member of both the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Dye is a licensed municipal auditor in the state of Oregon and meets all requirements for audits of states, local governments and nonprofit organizations. Experience includes all areas of practice - audits of governmental and nonprofit entities, A-133 compliance audits, tax, and consulting. Mr. Dye has many years of experience auditing municipal and nonprofit organizations and has considerable "hands on" experience with the specific accounting and reporting challenges that such organizations and their finance directors must face.
Prior to opening his own practice and joining Johannsen, Dye & Purkeypile CPAs LLP, Mr. Dye had the opportunity to work at both a large local CPA firm and the local office of a large regional CPA firm. Mr. Dye joined Johannsen, Dye & Purkeypile as a partner in 2003. Mr. Dye's experience includes working with many different types and sizes of organizations as an audit manager and as an audit partner in charge. In addition, Mr. Dye has the experience of auditing a large number of municipalities and nonprofit organizations subject to Minimum Standards for Audits of Oregon Municipal Corporations, Government Auditing Standards, and A-133 compliance audit requirements. Mr. Dye has a strong background in federal grant auditing and single audit compliance. All of his governmental auditing experience has been within the state of Oregon.
Mr. Dye has a strong background in tax services and consulting for many local businesses in Southern Oregon.
Mr. Dye currently volunteers his time to serve as treasurer for Living Opportunities Inc., a local nonprofit organization that provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Senior staff accountant, payroll department manager and office manager. Ms. Brown attended Southern Oregon University. She joined the firm in 1980 and has over thirty years of experience in accounting and financial statement preparations for numerous and diverse business entities. She also has aquired over these years a broad and comprehensive knowledge in all areas of payroll preparation and processing. In addition, she performs a multitude of administrative and supervisory services for the firm.
Staff accountant, Ms. Osterhout is a graduate of Sierra College in Grass Valley, CA with an associate's degree in accounting and human development. Ms. Osterhout has over three years experience as the finance and operations director of a local nonprofit organization that received federal grant money that was subject to OMB Circular A-133 reporting requirements. As a result, she has a good understanding and knowledge of grant compliance and reporting issues required of organizations receiving federal funding and state funding from the perspective of the recipient organization. In addition, Ms. Osterhout worked for over five years as an internal accountant for a large west coast regional CPA firm.
The firm has other support staff accountants in the office with many years of experience in accounting, payroll and related services.
Our firm was founded by Robert W. Purkeypile in September, 1973. Frederic C. Johannsen joined the firm as a partner in 1982. Christopher V. Dye joined the firm as a partner in 2003.
